William Roache launches BiG Storage Xmas Toy Appeal in Handforth

Once again BiG Storage in Handforth have joined forces with the Stockport Express and Times and Wilmslow Express to front the BiG Storage Xmas Toy Appeal. .

Last year’s Xmas Toy Appeal brought a fantastic response from generous Express and Times’ readers of gifts for Children up to the age of 16 – gifts that really helped to make their Christmas far more special than it otherwise may have been.
Launched this year at BiG Storage Handforth Dean by William Roache, aka Ken Barlow – the infamous member of the Coronation Street cast who has been the soap since it first started – we hope to make the appeal bigger and better than ever before!! Helping William Roache at the launch were pupils from Cheadle Primary School andSt Benedict’s School Wilmslow and the Lady Mayor of Macclesfield, Thelma Jackson.
This year, the recipient charities of the Handforth Toy Appeal are the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust who provide holidays and activities for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children, and the Stockport Early Intervention and Family Support Centre. Additionally, at Handforth BiG Storage will also be collecting for the David Lewis Centre who offer a range of medical, educational, residential and assessment services for children with complex epilepsy and other neurological conditions, including learning disability and challenging behaviour.
