St Rocco’s Hospice Dragon Boat Race- 8th August 2009.
A brand new event is coming to Warrington in 2009! St Rocco’s Hospice Dragon Boat Race, kindly sponsored by BiG Storage, will take place on 8th August 2009. The event will be hosted by Warrington Rowing Club and will take place on the River Mersey.
Dragon Boat Racing has quickly established itself as the UK’s favourite mass participation water sports. The event is based on traditional Chinese craft propelled by a crew using paddles. The boats are up to 40 feet long and hold a crew of 16, plus a drummer who beats time.

We recognise Dragon Boating is a sport that can be pursued by anyone of any ability- a real community event.
